Chapter XXI: Let the Light In

A soul no longer hides

Poem 1: The Window
I left it ajar
Just enough for the breeze
To ask permission
Before it touched my skin.

Poem 2: The Guest
I no longer fear footsteps
The echo in my hallway
Could be a friend
Not a ghost from the past.

Poem 3: Unbuttoned
I unfasten the silence
Like a blouse too tight
Let it fall from my shoulders
And speak, finally.

Poem 4: To Love Without Noise
He doesn’t raise his voice
He raises my energy
With presence so still
It heals without trying.

Poem 5: Visible

The mark remain

No longer a question

No longer an answer.l

Only part of the light.

Poem 6: Altar of Two
I do not marry him
I marry my own readiness
And he arrives
As the mirror of my vow.
